Aromatic Energy of Patchouli E/Oil

Fragmented to Peace

Patchouli essential oil has a rich history spanning centuries, primarily rooted in Asian traditional medicine and later, as a highly prized aromatic for textiles and perfumery, were the plants dried leaves were packed with silk and cashmere fabrics in India to repel moths and other insects, being an effective insect repellent.

It has been traditionally used topically to treat skin conditions like acne, eczema, dry and cracked skin as well as for treating dandruff.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and other Asian traditions, it has been used to treat nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, and stomach upset being effective in the treatment of digestive disorders.

It was used as a remedy for the common cold, headaches and to reduce fevers and due to the essential oils antimicrobial properties it was also used in baths for the treatment of rheumatism.

Patchouli is also known to have aphrodisiac properties and during the “1960’s Free Love period” the oil was used as a perfume due to its ability to inspire and warm the senses when worn, encouraging one to become uninhibited from emotional or social restrictions, enabling free action of sexual expression and/or impulsivity.

The Essential oil is wonderful for the skin, especially for mature skin or when the skin is dry and when added into a moisturizer it gives the skin a smoother appearance, managing oil production for a balanced glowing complexion.

Patchouli oil also acts as a powerful, natural skin toner due to its astringent properties which tightens the skin and reduces skin sagging, so an important essential oil to be added into a toning blend, helping to assist with weight loss .

Emotional Support:

Patchouli essential oil is grounding, earthy and has a deep woody musky aroma that acts as an emotional anchor, helping to steady a scattered or overthinking mind, bringing one back to the present moment.

Her calming energy promotes a sense of presence and mental clarity, making it an excellent oil for meditation, relaxation, balancing the mind and body and being effective in reducing stress, worry, and anxiety.

When feeling scattered or fragmented wear Patchouli as a perfume or add the oil to a room diffuser or warm bath to comfort your emotions, to deepen your breath, thus stilling your mind to a peaceful place.

My SoulCollage® Card

“Peace” – Council Suit

Q/ Who are you?

I Am One Who loves the stillness and quietness surrounding me, hopping in and out of the pockets of deepness within this Labyrinth.

I Am One Who stands strong in my energy of love compassion and peace wishing for a world of peace outside of the Labyrinth mirroring a world of safety like the one I’m standing in.

I Am One Who Looks to nature to gain the thrill of joy that gives my heart a flutter of excitement I want a peaceful world for myself so strongly, hoping for my own home and environment where I can be at peace and absorb the loving healing energy of nature and my plants that I will grow around me once again.

Q/ What is the Message you have for me?

I don’t have one for you, instead I feel faded out, grey, lifeless yet my flowers are brightly coloured prominent and facing outwards away from me, displayed to the world.

I feel like I’ve merged into the background and although there is life around me I feel lifeless and unimportant and only just holding myself up, feeling nothing. I’ve no hope or excitement running through me, I’m bored, unmotivated and feel a fake, nothing seems to work and all I desire is to feel some type of Peace for myself.

When I made this SoulCollage® card I actually thought that it was going to give me its wisdom of how to feel at Peace in some way.

As I started to Journal with my card “Peace” she told me that although she was talking about being in a Peaceful and safe place in the Labyrinth, all of the noise around her is still there and she is feeling like nothing is working and in some ways has given up.
